Terms of
Service.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Faktur.my (“we”, “our”, “us”), including the web application at faktur.myand the FakturMY iOS application (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Faktur.my is a business productivity tool for Malaysian freelancers and SMEs. It allows you to create invoices, quotations, and payslips; manage customers and employees; and generate payroll calculations based on Malaysian statutory rates (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).

The Service is provided on a Free tier and a Pro tier. Plan limits and features are described on the Pricing page.

2. Account Registration

  • You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and current information during registration.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations in Malaysia or your jurisdiction
  • Create fraudulent, false, or misleading invoices or documents
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate business documentation

4. Payment & In-App Purchases (iOS)

The Pro plan is available as a one-time purchasethrough Apple’s App Store via StoreKit. By purchasing, you agree to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.

  • Payments are processed by Apple — we do not store your payment information.
  • Pro access is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device you own.
  • Refunds are subject to Apple’s refund policy.
  • We reserve the right to change plan pricing with reasonable prior notice.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service (invoices, customers, employees, payslips). We do not claim any rights over your business data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and protected.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. Faktur.my payroll calculations are provided as a guide based on publicly available statutory rates — they do not constitute professional tax or accounting advice.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from temporary unavailability.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Payroll and tax calculations are based on publicly available rates and are provided for informational purposes only — always verify with a qualified accountant or tax advisor.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Faktur.my shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

10. Intellectual Property

The Faktur.my brand, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
