General

Is the free plan actually free?

Yes. The free plan lets you create up to 10 invoices, 10 quotes, and manage up to 20 customers — for life, not per month. There is no trial period and no expiry date.

Do I need accounting software too?

No. Faktur.my handles the document side — invoices, quotes, and payslips. It is not a full accounting suite, which is exactly why it is faster and simpler to use. If you need a full ledger, pair it with your existing accounting tool.

Who is Faktur.my built for?

Malaysian freelancers, sole proprietors, Sdn Bhd owners, and small-to-medium businesses that need professional invoices, quotes, and payslips without the complexity of a full ERP system.

Payslips & Calculations

How does the EPF/SOCSO calculation work?

We use the official 2026 EPF contribution tables and SOCSO First Schedule rates. Enter the gross salary and all statutory deductions — KWSP, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB — are calculated automatically. No need to look up tables.

Is the PCB (income tax deduction) accurate?

PCB is estimated based on the monthly gross salary and standard deduction assumptions. For employees with complex tax situations (additional income, multiple deductions), consult your payroll accountant for precision.

Can I prorate a payslip for a partial month?

Yes. Enter the number of days worked and the system calculates the prorated gross and all statutory deductions accordingly.

Which EPF contribution rate is used?

The 2026 EPF statutory rates apply: 11% employee contribution and 13% employer contribution for salary up to RM5,000, and 12% employer contribution above that. You can override per employee if needed.

Invoices & Quotes

What is SST and how is it calculated?

SST (Sales and Services Tax) is a Malaysian consumption tax. Faktur.my supports both 6% and 8% SST rates. Select the applicable rate per line item and the tax amount is calculated and shown separately on the invoice.

Can I convert a quote to an invoice?

Yes. Once a client approves a quotation, click "Convert to invoice" and every line item, tax, and client detail carries over automatically. No retyping.

Can I send invoices and quotes by email?

Yes. Click "Send by email" from the invoice or quote view. The document is attached as a PDF and delivered to your client directly from the browser.

Can I use my own company logo on documents?

Yes. Upload your logo in Settings and it appears on all PDF invoices, quotes, and payslips. If you prefer no logo, your company name appears in its place.

Billing & Plans

What happens when I hit the free plan limit?

You can still view and manage all your existing documents. To create more, upgrade to Pro — a one-time USD 14.99 purchase that unlocks unlimited invoices, quotes, customers, employees, and payslips, plus all 12 PDF designs and watermark removal.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase of USD 14.99 via the App Store — pay once and it is yours forever. There are no monthly or annual fees and nothing to renew.

What do I get with Pro?

Unlimited invoices, quotes, and customers; unlimited employees and payslips; all 12 PDF designs (Free includes Classic); the Faktur.my watermark removed from your PDFs; and every future Pro update at no extra cost.

Who processes the payment?

Apple processes all payments via the App Store using StoreKit. Faktur.my never sees your card details — we only receive a confirmation that you own Pro.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

Documents are stored in Supabase on AWS infrastructure in Singapore. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any way. Your documents, customer records, and employee data are yours.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. All documents can be downloaded as PDFs at any time. To request a full data export or account deletion, email support@faktur.my.
